Congratulations to all 19 of the 2012-2014 Blue Badge Course students who qualified as STGA Blue Badge Guides at the end of May! To introduce tour operators and our new members, on Wednesday 28th May we organised our first ever “speed-dating” event to introduce our newly qualified Blue Badge guides to a group of tour operators and representatives from VisitScotland.

17 of our 19 new guides were able to have a 4 minute conversation with 16 tourism professionals and both sides agreed that it was an extremely useful exercise. VisitScotland provided the venue and refreshments at their offices in Ocean Point, Leith.

We wish our new colleagues well in their new career. You will no doubt notice some new faces out on the road this year!
