Edinburgh Doors Open Day Free Tours

Scottish Tourist Guides Association’s very own Jane Roy, Alistair Hector, and Sheila Stuart will be conducting free tours in Edinburgh for this year’s Edinburgh Doors Open Day 2016. Organised by the Cockburn Association, Edinburgh Doors Open Day gives residents and visitors alike the chance to explore some of Edinburgh’s architecturally and culturally significant buildings for free!

New STGA Guide Trainers

This April eight STGA Blue Badge guides qualified as World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations trainers which means they will be part of a team who can train other guides anywhere in the world.

New STGA Website Launched

We are delighted to share with you our newly redesigned website, with a fresh new look and many new and improved features.

Closing Date for 2016 – 2018 Blue Badge Course Applications is 3 February

If you have a passion for Scotland, are an enthusiastic individual, and would like to work on a self-employed basis, you could make a great tourist guide!

Our next Blue Badge course begins in September 2016 but the recruitment process has already begun, with the closing date for submitting applications set to 3 February 2016.
