It is with great sadness that we announce the death of member Kristine Sander, who passed away suddenly while setting out for a walk with friends.
Kristine gained her Blue Badge in 1970 and was still an active guide after 54 years, an amazing record. Working mainly with German-speaking visitors she must have guided several thousand around Edinburgh and beyond.
She will be sadly missed by friends and colleagues and our thoughts are with her son, member Olaf Furniss.
