A new electronic book has just been published telling the story the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.
‘Guiding Lights: The History of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association 1959-2019’ was written by Blue Badge Tourist Guide Alasdair Northrop to mark our 60th anniversary.
You will learn how guides are trained and hear some of the many amusing things that have happened to them while doing their job. Scottish guides have also played a major role on the global stage providing no less than two presidents of the World Federation of Tourist Guides Associations. It also tells the story of how dramatically tourism has changed in Scotland over the years.
