Highland Games

The Highland Games are one of the most traditional and popular events to take place in different towns all over Scotland during the summer months. Many of the Games are held to a backdrop of some marvellous scenery, including Inveraray Castle, the seat of the Clan Campbell where Downton Abbey was filmed in Christmas 2013.


Curling was invented in medieval Scotland. For those interested in tracing some of its history there are several places to visit!


Come to Scotland and play a round. There are over 550 courses to chose from. Golf in Scotland is game for everyone and indeed recently the Scottish Government introduced a scheme to give all 9 year old children a series of free golf lessons!

Hill Walking

Scotland is a walker’s paradise. The variety of landscapes found both on the mainland, and on the numerous islands that make up the Hebrides in the west plus the Orkney and Shetland Isles to the north, is unbeatable.
