DISCOVERING DISTILLERIES
Diageo's Discovering Distilleries offer the opportunity to visit 12 working distilleries with a good geographical spread throughout Scotland - from Clynelish in the north to Glenkinchie in the south.
As well as the distillery tour, we also have excellent fit shops with a wide selection of whiskies and also whisky-related goods! We do our best to accommodate groups at short notice - but we do recommend that you book groups in advance.
For specialist group visits, we can also arrange tutored nosting and tasting sessions at each distillery or at another venue.
No visit to Scotland is complete without a whisky distillery in the programme.
Let us arrange one for you.

The National Trust for Scotland, established in 1931, is Scotland’s largest conservation, heritage and cultural charity. In its care – and open for visitors to enjoy – is an amazingly diverse portfolio of properties representing the country’s built, natural and cultural heritage. These include castles and country houses, gardens, areas of stunning countryside and coastline, nature reserves, iconic heritage sites, museums, examples of industrial heritage – and much more besides! Full details, opening times and visitor facilities for individuals, families and groups, are all provided on the Trust’s website at www.nts.org
Tour operators and group organisers can get advice on putting together itineraries and discuss net rates by calling our Travel Trade Department, but t he easiest, and most cost-effective, way to visit the Trust’s sites is to become a member. After joining, admission to properties is free of charge for a year, and other membership benefits include free parking where the Trust normally makes a charge, three copies of the award-winning magazine Scotland in Trust sent direct to you and a copy of the Guide to Properties, which is an indispensable guide to planning days out across Scotland. Membership subscriptions provide an essential source of income to the Trust and so, by joining, members are also giving a valuable contribution towards the charity’s continuing conservation work. Joining could not be easier – just visit www.nts.org.uk or call 0131 243 9555 and start enjoying the benefits for yourself

WELCOME TO HISTORIC SCOTLAND
EXPLORE 5,000 YEARS OF SCOTLAND’S HISTORY
Historic Scotland has more than 70 unique attractions in its care throughout Scotland.
These include three major icons of Scotland – Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Urquhart Castle – as well as the magnificent Border abbeys, the pre-historic village of Skara Brae in Orkney and the Viking settlement of Jarlshof in Shetland, plus many other historic and fascinating places to visit – including a whisky distillery and a working corn mill. Many of the attractions have small shops with gifts, books and postcards, whilst Edinburgh, Stirling and Urquhart Castles have restaurants for snacks and meals.
The Historic Scotland “Explorer Pass” is ideal for individuals and for groups who plan to visit more than one of our attractions. Available over three different time periods and offering the option to spread your visits over non-consecutive days they are easiest way to see the best of Scotland’s heritage.
In the Scottish Borders, in Dumfries and Galloway, and in Orkney there are special regional passes. All are excellent value for money.
We also offer a varied programme of events throughout the year including jousting tournaments, battle re-enactments and classical concerts. Our sites are also available as venues for private functions and corporate events as well as wedding ceremonies and receptions.
Wherever your programme in Scotland, you’ll find a Historic Scotland attraction which will add interest to your tour.
