Orkney & Shetland

The Northern Isles of Orkney and Shetland have strong ties with Scandinavia and the Vikings and reveal a way of life form Neolithic times.  Here you  can discover the roots of early settlers as far back as 3000 B.C. – Skara Brae, Maeshowe, the Ring of Brodgar on Orkney  and Mousa Broch and Jarlshof on Shetland.  At the same time enjoy all the benefits of a thriving modern economy and perhaps play golf in the “simmerdim” on mid-summers eve.
