Any visit to the Isle of Skye is incomplete without enjoying the wealth of history at Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, the ancestral home of the Chiefs of Clan MacLeod for 800 years. Originally designed to keep people out, it was first opened to visitors in 1933 and has become one of the Isle of Skye's most famous landmarks.
