Green Badge Guides

Green Badge Guides are qualified and insured to guide in a specific Scottish region

Green Badge Guides are commonly known as regional guides, but are also referred to as Regional Affiliates within the STGA.

Currently the STGA have regional guides based in Skye and Lochalsh, Orkney, Shetland, Argyll, Caithness and Sutherland, Invergordon and Environs and the Western Isles. In addition, there are Mandarin, Russian and Hungarian speaking Regional Green Badge Guides qualified for Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Central Highlands.

The Green Badge accreditation is benchmarked to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 6 (Higher equivalent)

You can spot our Green Badge guides with their  distinctive green badge either on pendant or pinned, displaying the STGA Coat of Arms.
